Replacement Components & Parts

Magnetron Tubes
High-power magnetrons for 896 MHz, 915 MHz and 2450 MHz systems, ranging from 800 watts to 75 kW output. We can recommend modern equivalents for obsolete tube models – ensuring you get equal or better performance at a reasonable cost.
High-Voltage Power Supply Components
Transformers, capacitors, filament transformers, diodes, resistors – we offer both direct replacements and custom-designed high-voltage components to keep your generators operating reliably. (For example, we provide custom high-voltage and filament transformers built to handle demanding industrial duty cycles.)
Control & Electrical Parts

MES Custom Microwave Generators
We build our own line of compact industrial microwave generators at standard power levels of 1.25, 3.0, and 6.0 kilowatts (2450 MHz). These generators are ideal for replacing outdated units or for new installations that require a reliable microwave source. They come with various types of power supplies, built-in metering, and safety interlocks. By using MES generators, you ensure your system has a supportable heart – all components are non-proprietary and available off-the-shelf for future maintenance.
Refurbished Microwave Generators
MES also offers refurbished microwave generators from various manufacturers (Cober, Cim-dot, Mueggee, etc.) that we have overhauled and tested. If you need a replacement generator but budget is a concern, a refurbished unit can be a smart choice. We replace all wear components (magnetron, capacitors, etc.), update any weak links with modern parts, and fully test the generator at load. The result is a like-new generator at a fraction of the price of new, backed by our warranty. Availability of specific models can vary, so please inquire about our current refurbished stock.
Refurbished Conveyorized Microwave Systems
Looking to expand capacity or add a microwave line without the cost of new equipment? MES sells refurbished industrial microwave ovens and complete systems on a limited basis. These systems (often originally from leading manufacturers) are rebuilt by MES and frequently upgraded with higher power and improved controls. For example, we have delivered conveyorized ovens up to 40 feet in length with 24 kW of microwave power and supplemental 72 kW hot-air systems – all integrated and tested. Every refurbished system is delivered with documentation and a one-year warranty. This is an excellent option for facilities that need additional curing or drying capacity quickly and cost-effectively.
Custom-Built Microwave Systems
For unique applications, MES can design and build custom microwave applicators or ovens. This might involve creating a specialized cavity to fit a particular product, integrating multiple microwave generators for higher throughput, or designing a combo microwave/hot-air system for your process. We collaborate with your engineering team to define the requirements and then manufacture the system to specification. Our custom systems leverage proven designs with tailor-made adjustments, ensuring you get a solution that is both innovative and reliable.
Waveguide Components & Assemblies
Because of our strong engineering and fabrication background, MES also serves as a manufacturer of high-power waveguide components. If your project requires specific waveguide runs or assemblies, we can help. Every waveguide component from MES is built to precise dimensions and thoroughly tested at operational power. We pay attention to surface finishes and joint quality to minimize VSWR (voltage standing wave ratio) and loss. By sourcing your waveguide needs through MES, you ensure compatibility and performance in your high-power microwave network.
Standard Waveguide Sections
We carry and fabricate straight waveguide sections in common sizes (WR-284, WR-340, WR-430, WR-650, WR-975, etc.), with flanges to mate with your equipment. Available in aluminum or brass for most sizes (stainless steel available for special applications). These sections are ideal for replacing damaged waveguides or extending the distance between a generator and oven.
Custom Components
We design bends, twists, elbows, tees, splitters, and tapered transitions to route microwave energy wherever you need it. For example, if you need to split power from one generator into two process zones, we can provide a power divider with appropriate coupling structure. All custom components are modeled and tested to handle the required power without excessive reflection or heating.
Isolators (Circulators) & Loads
Protecting the magnetron from reflected energy is crucial. MES offers high-power circulators (also known as isolators) with dummy loads (water loads) for various waveguide sizes. These devices divert reflected microwave energy into a load to prevent magnetron damage. We can select the right circulator for your frequency and power level, and supply the matching termination load.
Microwave Chokes & Filters
For microwave enclosures, we can supply or custom-build corrugated microwave choke assemblies for entry and exit ports (as used on conveyor ovens to minimize leakage). If you are modifying an oven to handle larger product profiles, we can engineer expanded-dimension chokes to maintain safety compliance.
